If you ever get the chance to be a speaker at a conference, event, luncheon, etc. take the chance. I spoke at my alma mater last year about accounting and possible career paths within this profession.
The interesting part is that I graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Kinesiology. You never know where your career will take you and I am thankful for the time in my career where I was a personal trainer. I learned so much about building rapport with clients and providing excellent service that I use with my accounting work today.
